Freaky Friday

Wow - the Ledge at the Sears Tower is a glass box that juts out of the 103rd floor. I don't think I could step out into it. Too freakin' high! But it must be pretty amazing to look down at the ants of Chicago right beneath your feet.

I wish I had a spread in Santa Barbara.

Have y'all seen inside Neverland yet? It's just the empty home and buildings but still interesting nonetheless. I wonder if it will turn into a Graceland-like destination?

I love a fair

Love the 2009 North Carolina State Fair poster! Definitely has a Hatch vibe about it. A friend used Hatch to print her wedding stationery and it looked very cool.

It's strange to me that the NC fair isn't until October. To me, fairs are always summer affairs. My hometown fair (really the best small-town fair in California) is in mid-August, right before school starts. It was always the last hurrah of summer as a kid.

Cantilevered concrete swimming pool in Spain. Creepy or cool?

This reminds me of those pools at the Palms in Vegas that stick out into the sky. Of course, they're like eleventy billion feet up in the air - this looks like it's maybe 20 or so.

They Grow 'Em Bigger in California

To the left: a massive lemon from my grandma's meyer lemon tree in LA smuggled back via airplane. I'm currently enjoying some lemon water flavored with them - tastes like sunshine!
