Seated

My thrift score for the week from Dorcas. This charming little chair reminds me of something that might be pulled up to a vanity or in a boudoir. Not sure what a boudoir even is but this strikes me as the right little piece of furniture. It's covered in a strange 50's or 60's neutral with metallic flecks that has seen better days, for sure. For $8, I figured it would be worth recovering. It will be nice in the small guest room.

Spied these great bookcases/etageres over on this designers site. I wish I knew where to find something similar - they are what I have been envisioning for the living room for a year!

Large planters! Even crappy ones at Ollies and Big Lots are like $50. There's no way these cost more than $5/each to manufacture.

Hydrangea coming back to life after Jake trimmed it within an inch of its life.

Trying to decide on wallpaper for the entry way....I'm leaning towards a neutral pattern. Any of these light your fires? All from Graham + Brown.

Anthropologie is brilliant for leading people to believe that either of these items is worth over $100. DIY, baby!


The lamp might be a wee hard, what with the gluing and possible drilling, but certainly do-able. This clock would be dead easy. Thrift store plate + clock kit from Michaels. Savings = $70
