My dog clotheslined me a couple of weeks ago when he was in the yard on the lead. The photo really, really doesn't do this justice but I have a big-ass deep scab on my ankle from the snap of the plastic-covered wire line. Gross, eh?

Abe Froman, the Sausage King of Chicago
Lookee what's on sale in the Chicagoland area for a cool 2.3 mil. Yup - the house from Ferris Bueller's Day Off. That glassed-in garage is unmistakable.

Paper Whore

I adore these new wrapping papers from Paper Source's new India-inspired line. I'm a big Paper Source fan, I used almost all their stuff to make our wedding invites.
I wish there was a store in this neck of the woods! If we can support an Anthropologie, certainly we can have a Paper Source!

Even though I am a Carolinian now, I will always be a Californian. And I need my jewelry to show it.

This is a great idea for organization! I have a growing collection of accessories that are stashed in various places. It would be awesome to give them a home. Must remember to look for something similar at yard sales this summer.

Ugh. My peacock blue walls are causing me some major distress. I can't decide what to else to do with them! Our bedroom furniture is dark wood and our floors are oak. I had a brown/white duvet but it felt too heavy. I threw on a heavily patterned floral duvet from Pottery Barn, but that was too much, too. I can't seem to put my thumb on what I am going for.
Repaint? Did I screw up? Drama!

DIY Headboard
I made this padded headboard in about 1 hour and it cost about $50. I very loosely followed some directions but overall just winged it (like all my projects). The fabric was in the super clearance bin at Jo-Ann and I used a 50% coupon to buy the foam that's wrapped around the plywood. I wrapped a layer of batting around the foam and used a staple gun to secure it.
The master bedroom is still very much a work in progress but I hope to make a big reveal of the finished product soon!

Soft Scoop
These elegant chairs would be perfect in the dining room but at $300 a pop they are not in the budget. I know I'll find something great at the thrift or yard sale but I need to be patient.
