Coral Skinny Jeans

Can I say that these $30 colored skinny jeans from JC Penney rock? Soft, stretchy, lightweight and fit my fuller lower half well.

JCP's having a bit of a moment. I'm liking their new look, branding and products.  There's still a lotta fug in there, for sure, but some great, affordable pieces, too.

Last week I had a clothing freak-out and decided all my current stuff was busted. My summer work wardrobe was wearing thin (literally) and I was tired to death of wearing the same darn thing over and over again. Now that fall's here I decided to treat myself to a little retail therapy:

Banana Republic Jackson pants. These fit me well and I love that I can rely on a pair without having to try on eleventy billion different kinds. They are also reliably on sale and on eBay, too. Note: I fill these babies out much more than the skinny-minny model, these are great for pear-shaped gals.

Silk dress from Martin + Osa. I have to go to a work-related benefit in a few weeks and need something dressy. With a pair of heels and the right accessories, this simple dress will fit the bill. I tried on some of the Mad Men-inspired dresses from BR but they were all tight in the thighs and bum. Not built for the bottom-heavy.

These gladiator-inspired sandals were on sale @ BR but I thought it wouldn't be prudent to buy sandals on the last day of summer.

Who knew this super cute skirt is from WalMart?! I avoid the place with a passion but I had to hit up their pharmacy today for my $9 script (Walgreens charges me $30) and I almost bought this. It's perfect for me - A-line, floaty with a touch of pink! But then I remembered it was Earth Day and I really shouldn't have been in WalMart anyway so I moved along. But it's cute, no?

I scored this J Crew dress off eBay for this month's wedding we are attending. I need a cardi to go with it. image

These are the shoes I think I am going to wear. Though mine aren't patent and are more of a nude. $6 brand new at Goodwill, baby!

I'm thinking of a clutch, too. Maybe I can score something at the thrift. I'd never use a clutch for day to day stuff so there's no way I'm spending more than $20 on one.
