Fenced In

I've been busy the last few weeks and neglected my little old blog here. Whoops!

But work continues here at little Casa HV.  We finally bit the bullet and put in a fence in the backyard.  We have a .62 acre lot and fairly big backyard for the burbs so the fence wasn't going to come cheap.  Also, fence people wouldn't return my calls -- just finding someone to come out and give a quote was next to impossible!

But all is well and we finally knocked this out. We put in flat top metal across the front of the house and post and wire along the sides, which is heavily covered by plans and vegetation. Now Mr. Burt Reynolds, the beagle in our lives, can romp free and easy! Here he is maxing and relaxing on the hammock, leash-free!

Now, it's on to my other project: stripping our bannister of icky latex paint. It's a beast.

Beagles are Trouble

Burt rides in the back like a little man #beagle

I love this dog, but he cost us $350 today. A persistent case of fleas (gross, I know) sent him to the vet where he came home with about 5 different medications. Good thing he's so damn cute.

In case you were wondering...

I want my next dog to be a Dandie Dinmont Terrier. That face is too cute. They are one Scottish export that won't clog your arteries or rot your teeth.

Burt Goes to Camp!

Our pup, Burt Reynolds, sometimes gets shipped to day camp. He loves it. Our camp even has web cams so you can peek in on him. That's him, front and center in front of the blue ramp. He comes home absolutely exhausted and goes straight to the crate to sleep.

He's heading there this weekend for an over night stay while we move into the new house.

Santa Paws!

We don't have kids, so instead we must embarrass and torture the dog. It was for a good cause, the SPCA of Raleigh.
